Common Questions and Answers

How much will my treatment cost? Do you take my insurance?

Treatment costs will vary, depending on the severity of your condition and how long you've had it.

Your one-on-one consultation with the Doctor is always free. Since we are providers for just about every existing insurance plan, including Medicare, Workers Compensation and automobile accident coverage, you may be responsible only for a small co-pay or a deductible may be required by your insurance company.

As always, as a courtesy, we are happy to file your claims for you at no cost. Please remember, as much information on coverage we are able to obtain may not be accurate as confirmation as to coverage changes with the insurance clerk answering the phone. We suggest you double check with your insurance agent as to the coverage you or your employer purchased.

I think most patients want to know the answers to four basic questions:

1.      What’s wrong?

2.      Can you fix it?

3.      How much is it going to cost?

4.      What is involved in the treatment and schedule?

When you have finished your diagnostic work-up and we have your report of findings I will answer those questions directly!

How long is a typical office visit?

Your initial visit will take about an hour. I purposely set aside special times during the day for our new patients. This enables me to spend unhurried, uninterrupted time with you that you need. Your time is valuable to us. We strive to be on time, all the time. Once we examine and have a report of findings with you we will be able to accommodate your schedule to ours.

How long will it take me to get well?

Getting you well as fast as possible is what we're all about. The entire procedure will be explained and together we will decide what your program will be. Time-wise, your recovery depends on several factors, including your condition, your age, the length of time you've had this condition, how closely you follow your treatment plan and any complicating factors.

We're proud of our success rate, and we work aggressively to make sure you get your life back, pain  free, as soon as possible.

What if I don't get better?

I am happy to say, the programs we have allow us to have a very high success rate.  Very few individuals fail to respond to treatment. If you're not responding to treatment in a reasonable length of time, we will immediately refer you to an appropriate specialist. I don’t believe in spending your time and money going down a pathway that is not going to get results!

Even though our patients enjoy a terrific rate of recovery, we understand that certain conditions fall outside our scope of practice. Remember: your full recovery is our goal. We'll do whatever it takes to achieve that.

Will I have to go to a chiropractor forever?

I hear this question many times and the answer is no, you will not get 'addicted' to Chiropractic!

However, I see nothing wrong about utilizing a system that will keep you health and pain free!

It is helpful, though, to think of Chiropractic as good maintenance for your spine. Even though you're not 'addicted' to brushing your teeth, you understand that it helps keep you from having serious dental problems down the road. Chiropractic check-ups make sense in much the same way.

I've heard about Spinal Decompression Therapy - what is it?

Spinal Decompression Therapy is a remarkable new technology for treatment of sciatica and herniated discs. It works by gently relieving pressure on the spine, which eases pain and speeds up the healing process. The treatment is completely comfortable, and can be effective in even the most severe cases. We're pleased to be able to offer Spinal Decompression Therapy in our office. Your doctor may recommend it as part of your treatment plan if he feels you are a candidate.
